Digital Media is Sturdier Than You Think
Though certain brands may have certain issues with certain devices, it seems they can survive going through the washing machine. 
Although surprising, remember that these cards don’t have any moving parts, so as long as data was written, it’ll still be there unless the data is physically broken in that particular area.—-
