Anna Nicole Smith Pops out at G-Phoria Awards Show

6 months too late, 1% the publicity, 1 billion less watching? But at least she can just chalk it up to being a dumb blonde. But wait, she has Howard Stern as her lawyer…

Zach Braff & Natalie Portman Dating

Has love bloomed for “Garden State” co-stars Natalie Portman and Zach Braff? Chatter at the film’s Manhattan premiere party last week was that they “are quietly dating,” reports the New York Daily News. The timing certainly fits: Portman ended her relationship with “Y Tu Mama Tambien” hottie Gael Garcia Bernal in May, while Braff reportedly called it quits recently with his actress-girlfriend Bonnie Somerville, who performs “Winding Road” on the movie’s soundtrack.

Will Hung’s 2nd Album in a Year and Movie Role

Damn, America sure does love a loser! Cant’ get enough of good ol’ Willie, can we? Man, he gets to hang out with Trashelle, err Trishelle from the Real World in his videos, gets flown all aroudn the world, and gets to be in the movies? Well, I’m sure his Christmas album will be better than, say, a Christmas album from a band that scratches their nails over a chalkboard. And what about school? Is he turning into a guy with a pro sports mentality?

The 21-year-old engineering student, who was born in Hong Kong but moved with his family to Southern California as a child, is recording a Christmas album due to be released in time for the holidays and is starring in a Cantonese film, reports Reuters.

How to Lose $12.395B in 4 Years or the Story of Lycos.com

Bwahahahah… Hey, at least wooba.com has not lost $12B in value the past 5 years. Ya know, I’d be willing to bet the South Koreans can do something with this company. At least not lose $12B. Did I mention that’s $12,000,000,000 dollars? Like not pesos or dinar or whatever? Dollars! Now, when are we gonna get that 30Mbps fiber Internet connection like they have over there in South Korea?

A Korean Internet company is buying Lycos Inc. and its network of Web sites for $105 million.

Terra Networks, based in Madrid and part of telecommunications company Telefónica SA, had bought Lycos in 2000 for $12.5 billion, calling the combined company Terra Lycos.

IceRocket Looks Like a Google Clone

Interesting search engine, looks like it leverages the popularity from other search engines? Definitely a case of admiring Google in their design, though. I do like knowing the popularity of the search term at other sites, but that info unfortunately isn’t linkable. Of note, try the Quick View, pretty much useless, perhaps some people still don’t know how to Open in New Window?

The option to search via email is pretty neat, but they definitely need a shorter name. 5 or 6 characters max… like, uhh, wooba.com! :)

Wanna Be Jesus? Walk on Water!

I swear I’ve seen similar devices on Lake Washington, usually around Seafair, but still cool nonetheless…

Walk on Water Shoes

WHEN Yoav Rosen was growing up in Jerusalem in the 1970’s, he was obsessed with an act that was said to have been performed only by the likes of Jesus, Buddha and Hindu mystics – walking on water.

Last month, Mr. Rosen received a United States patent (No. 6,764,363) for a device that he says will allow ordinary people to do just that.

Lawyers Gets in Trouble for Mock Sex with Students Post

What? You mean not all posts on a message board are true? You’d think he’d at least cover his tracks a bit better…

A district attorney candidate claims to have been just joking when posting a message on the Classmates.com Web site purporting to be from a high school teacher who was having sex with his female students.

In February 2001, Jim Carpenter created a Classmates.com account in the name of a high school teacher and posted this message: “Hey all! How is it going. I am married to an incredibly beautiful woman, AND I get to hang out with high school chicks all day (and some evenings too). I have even been lucky with a few. It just doesn’t get better than this.”

Fahrenheit 9/11 Remixed

Heheh, always good to have enough enemies that they redo your so-called documentary and release it to the P2P file sharing world. That and point out 59 untruths. :P

A volunteer film-maker MMfixer has produced a revised version of the first 14:34 of Fahrenheit 9/11. The new version includes all the material in the original movie, plus captions to point out where Moore misleads or omits critical facts. To download the film, you need to use BitTorrent. BitTorrent is a free and widely used from used to distribute very large media files (such as Grateful Dead concerts).

The Hulk & James Bond?

Twice the superhero? Ugh, another bad casting choice in my opinion. Will Brits be in an uproar when an Aussie takes over this role?

IT’S incredible! Hulk star Eric Bana is to supermutate into James Bond, leaving a string of 007 wannabes green with envy.

Aussie Eric, 35, who shot to fame as the buttonpopping monster, is to take over from Pierce Brosnan as the suave spy with a licence to kill.
