NTSB Wants Black Boxes for All Cars

Hi Big Brother, I’m going 5 over the speed limit now. Hey, at least they aren’t mandating it… yet. As we more and more laws like the Patriot Act and the DMCA are passed, the more privacy we’ll lose. There should have been enough witnesses in the old man’s plowing into a farmer’s market to know exactly what happened. I wonder if he even goes to jail for it.

The government should require data recorders in all passenger vehicles, federal safety officials said Tuesday in a recommendation arising from the investigation of a car crash that killed 10 people and injured 63.

National Transportation Safety Board investigators concluded the 86-year-old driver had stepped on the gas instead of the brake and plowed into a farmers market in Santa Monica, Calif., on July 16, 2003.

Governator Confesses He Was Victim of Child Abuse

Perhaps the reason why Arnold Schwarzenegger is so good in all those violent films.—-
He told Fortune magazine: “My hair was pulled. I was hit with belts. So was the kid next door, and so was the kid next door to him.

“It was just the way it was. Many of the children I’ve seen were broken by their parents, which was the German-Austrian mentality.

“Break the will. They didn’t want to create an individual. It was all about conforming.”

Registering for Newspaper Sites Suck

It’s ridiculous when a Hoboken Times Ledger (okay, made that one up) or some other hodunk paper wants your info before you can read a simple article. Yeah, I’m sure they will get real accurate statistics from people registering. Just like how AllAdvantage (busted dotcom) claimed that their highest number of users came from 90210. Of course the papers want to believe all their demographical information is correct, I know I’ve never filled out such registrations truthfully. :P
