TOKYO — Hitachi Ltd said Thursday it will market five flat TV models capable of displaying images in 68.6 billion different colors starting Sept 1 in Japan.

The introduction of the high-definition TVs under the “WOOO” brand is intended to meet growing demand for such products ahead of an expansion at the end of this year in areas where digital terrestrial broadcasting services are available, the company said.
