Company Clones Cats for $50k

Yikes, people would actually want an exact clone of their cat? While it is amazing that science can do such a thing, that’s damn creepy! What would Cat 1.0 say about Cat 2.0? Are people going to clone cats that aren’t dead yet? What if Cat 1.0 haunts Cat 2.0 and turns 2.0 into a monster? Will it take away from Cat 1.0’s nine lives? Things to ask, things to ask…

Five customers are paying $50,000 each for a clone of their own cats, which the company expects to have available by December. The company also said it has several hundred clients paying $150 a year plus an initial $900 to preserve tissue from living pets for future cloning. The first cloned cat_a calico named CC for Carbon Copy_cost the company $200,000 to produce.
