85 Atari Games for Twenty Bucks

You just can’t play Pong without the paddles! So it’s nice to see that they will include a set of nostalgia controllers, I just wonder if the controller will be a one button joystick wonder or if they will include offer up some paddles. Retrogaming is all the rage, but imagine this generation’s gamers playing the pixellated Pong and Pac-Man. They’ll be bored of it within 1 minute, guaranteed!

“Atari Anthology” will feature 85 games and is scheduled to go on sale in November at a cost of about $20.

But it’s only one of the nostalgia projects Atari will push into the market then. The second is Atari Flashback, a slightly miniaturized version of the old Atari 7800 from the mid-’80s. It will have 20 games built into it, including “Breakout,” “Solaris,” “Crystal Castles” and “Battlezone.” Flashback will sell for $45 and include a pair of old-school joysticks.

Windows Media Player 10 Released

Looks like the latest Windows Media Player is out. From Adrian’s Rojak Pot, the review of it looks to be good so far. Worth a shot, and yes, it’s free! It’s nice that they actually let you download the executable, so you don’t have to go through WindowsUpdate to get it. It’s only for Windows XP systems, so you 2k users are outta luck! It definitely looks like they are positioning this baby to go directly against Apple’s iTunes, with the automatic MP3 cataloging and jukebox features. The Microsoft Music Store is also open for business. You’d think they woulda bought or sued to get MSNmusic.com as well.

New Zealand software pirates risk extradition to the United States following a ground-breaking ruling against an Australian man accused of pirating software, games and music worth up to US$50 million.

Mark Kelly, senior associate at Auckland’s Simpson Grierson, said the Hew Raymond Griffiths case in Australia confirmed that people based in one country and accused of software piracy could be brought to justice in another under extradition law.

Oh, guess she is legal now, eh? Well this is the cokeaddict, err, eating disorder one, not the other one that wasn’t in rehab for one or the other. Guess you have an advantage if you are in NY, or otherwise somehow celebrity or related to a celeb.

New college student Mary-Kate Olsen, 18, and boyfriend David Katzenberg, 21, have broken up, a source tells PEOPLE.

Olsen and Katzenberg, who began dating late last year, ended their relationship a week ago in Los Angeles before both flew east to attend college – she at New York University, he at Boston University. “It was a mutual parting of the ways and amicable,” says the source. “Being at different schools played a part. It’s reasonable for her to start school fresh.” (Olsen’s rep declined to comment on the relationship.)
