Dukes of Hazzard Movie Cast Set?

Whoa, Seann William Scott could pull it off, but I’m not quite sure about Johnny Knoxville’s acting skills right now. Jessica Simpson as Daisy? Hmm… I’m sure there’s someone that’s better for that role. Jessica would HAVE to dye her hair for the role…

Warner Bros. Pictures has found its Dukes! Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott have just been cast, respectively, as Luke and Bo Duke, in the big-screen adaptation of CBS’ 1979-85 The Dukes of Hazzard TV series, People reports in its latest issue.

The magazine says that the studio still hasn’t found someone to fill the role of Daisy Duke, but Jessica Simpson apparently remains the frontrunner for the cousin played on TV by Catherine Bach. As for Boss Hogg, the villain played on the show by Sorrell Booke, the studio is leaning toward Burt Reynolds.

So You Don’t Speed But You Still Get Pulled Over?

WTF? So for not speeding, they stop you to give you a dumbass thank-you note? If you ever thought New Hampshire was ass backwards before… Pretty dumb, they should mail it in the mail or something.

ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – Thanks for not speeding. Police officers in Rochester are handing out thank-you notes – not tickets – to some motorists traveling along Route 11, which they refer to as the city’s most hazardous route. Bike Officer Jamey Balint handed out 50 thank-you notices on Tuesday morning alone.

The notes warn the road is notorious for accidents, with 312 mishaps between June 1, 2001, and June 1, 2004, on the roughly three-mile stretch between the Farmington border and the Route 16 overpass.

Good Service at Discount Tire

I’ve gotta say, I’ve always had good service at Discount Tire (also known as America’s Tire Co. in some parts). Even when I go in for service which they make no money, like I did today because I had a slow leak in one of my Pirellis, they don’t mumble and grumble about doing that kind of work. The people are actually pleasant, and they actually work past closing time (6pm) even if you bring your car in just before 6. So I gotta give them props for that. Been going there for over 12 years now (ever since I got me license) and have been pleased everytime I have gone there. I think they charge for fixing tire leaks now, but I have tire insurance from them. Go 200 and blow out a tire and they give you a new one. :P I went to the Northgate store in Seattle, which is my ‘usual’ store. Good service is hard to find in this day and age. Big ups!

You Know Poker is Hot When…

You see Bellevue High school kids on their lunch breaks playing Texas No Limit Hold’em. At KFC, no less. Out in the open. With no shame! I wonder what kinda stakes they were playing. Course Bellevue is full of yuppies with kids. They had what seemed like clay chips (and not the cheap Hoyle plastic chips for $2.99). Leave it to the Asian kid to be the dealer. :P
